Thanks to my friends at Dreft, I’m a huge fan of messy play – and so are my kids! Here are some great reasons to allow your baby or toddler to get messy:
- sensory exploration – they get to explore with all five senses!
- allowing the chaos within set parameters helps define boundaries for messy play (we can make a mess of this, but we don’t get to color on the wall, for example)
- seeing their delight in being messy is more than worth the cleanup!
Besides, with Dreft, I don’t have to worry about leaving stains on my kids clothes! So your kids can be kids, and you don’t have to spend a bunch of money on stain removers!
I’ve pulled together eight of the best messy toddler activities from my fave bloggers for you:
Paint Splat Art Activity for Kids by Crafty Morning
Muddy Trucks and Car Wash by Busy Toddler
Pudding Painting by Busy Toddler
Jungle Slime by Buggy and Buddy
Slide Painting by I Can Teach My Child
Easy, Natural, and Edible Finger Paint for Baby at Baby Foodie
Foam Dough at Mom Trusted
Slime Ribbons at Homegrown Friends
Once you’re done thoroughly sampling each of these activities, you’re going to need some Dreft. I’m giving away:
- $50 AMEX card
- Dreft Product

Oh gosh something funny to be but horrifying to others LOL, when my son was about 1 or 2 he would play in the toilet with his hands it was funny and what baby plays and splashes his hands in the toilet though LOL. Like seriously. Oh my, but don’t worry I gave him a bath afterwards and washed his hands. Yup that is my funny moment!

One of the funniest but not soo funny at the time, was as a new Mom, I was changing diapers and my daughter projectile pooped- she was breast feeding and I I didnt know spicy foods made it through that way too. She did it during a diaper change, which made it a complete mess!
Kathy Haan says
