Where is Holiday World located?
Santa Claus, Indiana — about 5 1/2 hours South of Chicago or not quite three hours SW of Indianapolis. They’re in the central time zone.
How much is parking?
Parking is absolutely free! Not only that, but if you end up parking far away, there’s a shuttle that will take you to the front.
What are the hours at Holiday World?
Holiday world opens at 10am and closes at 9pm, except on Saturdays they stay open until 10pm. They’re open May through October.
Do I have to pick between Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari?
No, you can enjoy both parks for the price of your ticket.
Where should we stay when going to Holiday World?
While there’s probably hotels nearby that you could stay, your entire family will LOVE staying at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort which is right next door. They’ve got a shuttle between the campground and Holiday World.
Can I rent a wheelchair/scooter/stroller?
Yes, right inside the park gates is where you can rent what you need. They also have rental lockers.
I’ve heard rumors about free stuff at Holiday World…what gives?
You’ve heard right! They offer a ton of free stuff:
- free sunscreen at many kiosks located throughout the park
- free pop (and gatorade, lemonade, iced tea, coffee, and water)
- free use of inner tubes at the water park
- free wifi
- tickets for children 2 and under are free
- free parking (and free electric vehicle charging!)
- and you can get free package pickup for purchases made at least 2 hours before park close
Does Holiday World light off fireworks?
Yes! Every Friday night you can enjoy fireworks at 9pm CST and again on July 4th and 5th. You’ll wanna catch them in Thanksgiving towards Hyena Falls for the best view.
It’s raining…should we stay home?
No! Rides will continue to operate. However, if it’s storming the rides may shut down temporarily until it’s safe to reopen. If rides close for more than 90 minutes, you can grab a voucher for a return visit that year.
What are the best snacks at Holiday World?
You can’t beat a Dole Whip! If that isn’t your jam, get a blue ice cream at Udderly Blue.
We’re bringing our four-legged family member. Where should we keep our dog while we enjoy the park?
Holiday World has kennels that are air conditioned at Holidog Inn. They also have outdoor kennels. Each are on a first come first served basis.
What’s your favorite part of the park?
We loved Halloween! Not just for the rides, but also the decor.
Where can I find the best prices on tickets?
You definitely want to check out their website for the best deal. They don’t allow scalped tickets.
