I am a mother of three beautiful children. I knew just before my second child was born that I wanted to cloth diaper. I was surfing my company’s buy/sell board and stumbled across any low income cloth diapering mom’s dream scenario: rarely used cloth diapers for $75!
It was an entire box of them, which was about 50 cloth diapers. Considering they typically go for about $20 a pop, this was an absolute steal!
I know that even $75 for cloth diapers may be out-of-reach for some families. I know, because I’ve been there. I used to have to pawn things like the lawn mower to make rent every month. I was regularly overdrawn in my checking account because there was too much month at the end of every paycheck.
There is hope, though! I’ve discovered a wonderful organization to help…because it does take a village!
