There is nothing in this world better than a baby nuzzled against your neck, a green tea latte in one hand, and a good book in the other.
My love for tea started when I was a little girl. It wasn’t from tea parties I’d have with my dolls. My love for tea stemmed from watching my mom put a big mug of water in the microwave, to which she would later add a bag of tea, and a generous portion of milk. Sometimes I think there was more milk than water, because her tea would always turn a milky white color. This would happen many times a day, and no sooner than she took a sip did I follow-up with, “mom!! Can I have a sip???”
Fast forward a few years and we move to Portland, where I was introduced to sushi for the first time. I was already a whiz at using chop sticks because my mom lived in Japan as a military kid, and taught me what she knew. Sushi was second nature. There, I began my love affair with Matcha Green Tea when I had green tea ice cream for the first time. I began to seek everything matcha–from lattes, truffles to smoothies.
You can learn to make your very own green tea latte, too! This recipe is super simple to follow, and you can adjust the honey to make it as sweet as you want! The Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder from KissMe Organics is USDA Organic, and came with a 50+ recipe book! A little goes a long way–I’m pretty sure this bag will last me several months.

I loved your first sentence! 🙂 It is so true. That book also sounds excellent. I was also excited to see your matcha green tea latte recipe. I just got back from a visit to Japan (where my cousin lives) and discovered matcha. It is amazing! I am definitely going to have to try your recipe 🙂 I also had no idea where to buy matcha in the states, so thank you for including the link.
