This is a sponsored post, but my review isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
If you’re into skincare, you’ve no doubt seen ads for Musely all over social media or maybe even stumbled upon a Musely review. Before we get to my Musely review, you should know I’m a skincare connoisseur, and every time I visit my esthetician and injector, they remark, ‘you have basically no pores,’ and ‘do you know how lucky you are to have glass skin?’
Well yeah, because I take really, really good care of my skin.
However, it’s not perfect. And my husband is very diligent about his skincare routine, though it’s super basic, and he doesn’t use any actives, so I was thrilled when Musely reached out to us about doing a review back in February, and after four months, we’ve got pictures. We’re not the type of reviewers who test it a couple of weeks and post a review. This is our four-month review!
We tried out a selection of their products: The Spot Cream Set (Tan), The Eye Serum, and The Private Cream for me. My husband, who’s been dealing with a receding hairline, tried out The Anti-Aging Cream Set (Tan), The Hair Topical Solution, and The Hair Pill.
My husband is pretty sensitive about his hairline, and I’ve cut his hair for over a decade, and have had to get increasingly creative to hide it. He’s even considered traveling to Turkey for a hair transplant.
Musely Review: The Pictures
You can tell a difference in my husband’s hair thickness, despite not being able to use one of the products because of irritation it caused him (more on this later).

After Pictures
The Spot Cream Set (Tan)
The Spot Cream Set (Tan) was the first product I tried. There are a few dark spots on my face, though they’re very light. After using it for a few months, I can’t say I had much difference, but that’s probably because I’ll need to use it over a longer period of time. The cream itself was light, and it seeped into my skin fairly easily, which was a plus.
The Eye Serum
I’ve had my fair share of late nights, which have resulted in dark circles that I’ve found hard to get rid of. The Eye Serum felt soothing on application. It’s not a miracle worker, and I’m not sure I noticed much of a difference. This could be because I take really good care of my skin and religiously apply sunscreen and eye cream already.
The Private Cream
The Private Cream was a new one for me. It was gentle and didn’t cause any irritation. The product’s purpose isn’t something we often talk about in skincare discussions, but it’s important. It reminded me that skincare goes beyond just our faces, though I’m not sure I had much results.
The Anti-Aging Cream Set (Tan)
My husband’s experience with The Anti-Aging Cream Set (Tan) was pretty impressive. His skin was visibly less red almost immediately, and his fine lines appeared diminished after a few uses. He found the cream light and easy to apply, which helped with consistent use.
The Hair Topical Solution
In full transparency of our Musely review, you must know that The Hair Topical Solution, unfortunately, did not work out for my husband. After a few uses, it caused chemical burns on his scalp, which his dermatologist confirmed. It’s a reminder that not all products work for everyone, and it’s essential to do a patch test, especially when you’re dealing with potent ingredients. I have no doubt Kirk would’ve experienced even better results if he’d been able to use this, so that’s kind of a bummer.
The Hair Pill
The Hair Pill was a mixed bag. On one hand, my husband did see an improvement in the thickness of his hair. On the other hand, the pill seemed to have a similar effect on his body hair, which wasn’t something he expected or particularly appreciated.
Musely Review Conclusion
Overall, our experience with Musely was a bit of a mixed bag. Some products worked, and others didn’t. The Spot Cream Set (Tan), The Eye Serum, and The Private Cream were decent additions to my skincare routine, while The Anti-Aging Cream Set (Tan) worked well for my husband. The Hair Topical Solution was a miss, but the Hair Pill did show some positive results, despite the unexpected side effect.
Musely does offer a range of products that target specific skin and hair concerns. However, it’s important to remember that everyone’s skin and hair are different, and results can vary, as ours did.
Even though we had a few hiccups along the way, our overall experience with Musely was mostly positive. If you’re interested in trying out some scientifically backed skincare and haircare products, Musely could be worth looking into. Just remember to be patient, stay consistent, and always perform a patch test before using a new product.
