Summer brings back fond memories of road trips, staying up late, and lots of camping. Some of my best times as a child weren’t elaborate, expensive trips. Instead, they were simple, fun times with the family.
Here’s Our summer bucket list:
- Visit the Amana Colonies
Go Fishing (Free Fishing Weekend is June 6-8 where I don’t need a fishing license!)Slip-n-SlideSwimming in the creek in the backyard(okay, wading is more appropriate…unless it floods!)- Camping in the backyard
- Complete 8 Pinterest projects (please leave your ideas below!)
- Purge 8 boxes of stuff
- Save $1,000
- Family pictures
- Lots of Geocaching
10-Year High School Reunion (eek!)Colletta and Tim’s Vow RenewalKeep the weeds tamed in the garden- Dance in the rain
- Spa Day with the girls
Have a picnic6/8/14- Family Game Night w/ snacks and prizes
- Feed the ducks
Bremer County Fair- Star Gazing
- Have a “Yes Day” – where I say yes to the kids all day
- Have a scavenger hunt
- Make a fairy garden
Summer Reading Program at the library- Ice block treasure hunt
Pick berries- Get back to pre-baby weight
- Build a sand castle

I love all of your Summer Bucket List ideas and happy to see going to the Amana Colonies is on it 😉 The free fishing weekend is also another great idea and thing they do in Iowa! And the Bremer County Fair – I haven’t made it over for several years but always loved getting a Dairy Producers Milkshake while we were there.
